I'm just going through replacing some lost books in my book collection and I relized I was missing my Jonathan Ott books. Jonathan was at Mindstates 2002 as a speaker. I was wondering if Jonathan was going to make it this year and if anyone might have contact information for him. I was also looking to repurchase Pharmacotheon and Ayahuasca Analogues at a cheap and reasonable price. Let me know if you can help me out.

Re: Jonathan Ott
Mon, May 9, 2005 - 5:23 PMAlas, Jonathan is avoiding coming to the United States.
His books are increasingly hard to get, due to him having no mainstream distribution in America.
Nevertheless, we should have some of his in-print titles for sale at the Mind States conference. A quick check on Amazon.com shows "used and new" for paperback copies of Pharmacotheon for $80 and up. We should have these for around $45 each. Ayahuasca Analogues is actually OOP, but we should have copies of the hardcover for $45 each or so. We'll also have his limited edition, leather bound, signed and numbered most recent offering, Shamanic Snuffs (unavailable in the United States) for around $115 or so. And probably some other titles of his as well.

Re: Jonathan Ott
Mon, May 9, 2005 - 7:32 PMSounds good, Jon. I actually was pointed to :
botanicalpreservationcorps.com
which seems to be an excellent source. Although, I may just wait and save money for the conference to buy.
BTW, are there any updates on the conference?

Re: hello
Thu, May 26, 2005 - 11:29 AMTrout???
Who's that?
Only Trout I know of is Killgore Trout and I don't think he's done any speaking at Mind States.
(Kilgore Trout is Kurt Vonnegut Jr's alter ego in some of his books)

Re: hello
Wed, July 13, 2005 - 5:00 PMIt may surprise you to know that a book entitled "Venus on the Half-Shell" by Kilgore Trout was actually published. As you would imagine, "Kilgore Trout" was a pseudonym. The author was the science fiction writer Philip Jose Farmer who wrote it at the behest of Vonnegut, though I'm told Vonnegut wasn't pleased with the result.
